What should campers expect:

The Yacht Club of Sea Isle City began its sailing program in 1940 and has been instilling the excitement of the sport to students and sailors ever since. This summer, campers of all ages can enjoy the spray of saltwater, a coastal breeze and the promise of lifelong friendship and appreciation of the water when they join the summer Sailing Camp.

Campers cruise the back bays of Sea Isle City while learning the timeless art of sailing. The program provides all equipment and certified instructors for a great week or more of fun in the sun.

U.S. Sailing Association-certified instructors offer hands-on instruction and fun activities for every skill level. Beginners to the sport will earn the basics starting with rigging and tacking, all the way to how to follow the wind and flip a vessel should it take a sudden tip. Intermediate and advanced levels continue with lessons including the opportunity to sail on a Sunfish, OPTI, Laser or 420, while also practicing racing techniques and participating in weekly competitions with area clubs.

Participants in this fun and educational camp return year after year.

Space is limited, so be sure to register before classes fill up! Registration opportunities include a number of options including early registration, family discounts and even multi-week discounts!

Highlights:

This camp is unique in that the yacht club offers this program to the public without requiring club membership, while also supplying boats and equipment, making it a fun and affordable way for a family to learn a valuable skill and enjoy a summer on the water.
