Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run

Test your endurance in the 48th annual Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run. Held rain or shine, registered runners will be computer-chip timed for the race that is held on the beach and the Promenade with the finish line at the Beach Patrol headquarters. The awards ceremony will be held after the race at the headquarters, approximately 7:15pm.

National Night Out

6-8pm, Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard & Pleasure Avenue

Sea Isle City will join communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories and U.S. military bases worldwide in hosting the annual National Night Out event. Sponsored by the Sea Isle City Police Department, the local event will also feature representatives from the fire department, ambulance corps and beach patrol, as families participate in a mix of fun and educational activities. To cap off the night, pick a spot on the lawn for the National Night Out movie showing of “Cars 3” at 8:30pm.

Aug. 11

Sea Isle City Wiffle Classic

10am, Dealy Field, 59th Street to 63rd Street & Central Avenue

Batter up! The Sea Isle City Wiffle Classic will be held all day in support of Autism Speaks. The tournament is open to all skill levels and features awards for first, second, third and fourth place. Awards will also be presented to the Best Team Name, Fun Stars and Best Uniform. The team entry fee is $150 and each team will play a minimum of four games. Sign-in will begin at 9am and the first pitch will fly at 10:02am. The rain date is Aug. 12.

Full Moon Beach Yoga

7:30-8:30pm, 29th Street beach

All are invited to join certified instructor Teri O’Connor on the sand for the third free Full Moon Beach Yoga class of the summer. All levels will participate in beach yoga flow moon salutations and full moon meditation as you watch the moon rise over the ocean. There is no need to sign up ahead of time, just bring your towel or a yoga mat, sign in and hit the sand.
