Memorial Day 2018

It's Restaurant Week: Hope You're Hungry!

By Joanna Heston

Foodies, rejoice! Sea Isle Restaurant Week returns June 4-10 featuring 14 restaurants offering four courses for $34. Hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, customers will enjoy everything from wood-fired pizzas and pasta dishes to the finest seafood and steak options. Whether you try someplace new or frequent your favorites, be sure to plan ahead and plan to dine out often; the menus offered by the participating restaurants are not to be missed!

“With the success of bringing back the event last year, the Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization is excited to offer Sea Isle Restaurant Week in June,” said Chris Glancey, president of the organization. “Not only does it promote the unique dining opportunities in our town to incoming tourists, but it gives our businesses an added boost heading into the summer season.”

With the variety of samplings offered on each menu, you will be able to enjoy a different dinner option each night of Restaurant Week. Start the week off with Italian dishes created by Bujar Daku of La Fontana Coast in Sea Isle City and La Fontana Del Mare in Strathmere. All the pasta is made daily using the company’s pasta maker, imported from Italy. If you prefer wood-fired pizza and panini instead, check out Daku’s other restaurant, Fratelli’s Wood Fired Pizzeria. The restaurant offers thin and crispy pizza options, unique panini, and homemade gelato for dessert.

If fresh seafood is more your taste, you’re in luck! Sea Isle City is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in the area and they are dishing out some of the finest selections for Restaurant Week. Mike’s Seafood, Oar House Pub and Carmen’s Seafood are just some of the participants offering the likes of blackened red snapper, steamed fresh lobsters, and cioppino.

Hop on the jitney and head to Townsends Inlet to dine at Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House. The restaurant is featuring crab cakes, roasted cauliflower ravioli and Creekstone Farms Hanger Steak as its entrée options.

Craving comfort food? O’Donnell’s Pour House has you covered for Restaurant Week. Customers will have the chance to choose from favorites such as Black and Tan Mac and Cheddar, and Shepherd’s Pie.

With the awesome lineup of restaurants and the variety of cuisine offered, it’s a no-brainer! Call your friends, schedule a babysitter and make plans to enjoy all that Sea Isle Restaurant Week has to offer June 4-10! The full list of participating restaurants and four-course menus is available online at seaislerestaurantweek.com. Happy dining, friends!
