We have all heard the classic tongue twister, “She sells seashells by the seashore.” Like seashells, each boutique in Avalon and Stone Harbor is unique and has a story to tell. While Terry Sullivan might have been on to something with her 1908 song, “She Sells Seashells,” we’ve added a modern twist to bring you She Shops at the Shore, featuring the best places to shop in Avalon and Stone Harbor, many of which are woman-owned.
We’ve compiled a list of our favorite stores that feature clothing, accessories and beyond for all your fashion needs. The stores, which carry numerous brands for women, men and children, are owned and operated by Angela Marsh. Store managers Susie and Cati help oversee the staff members, who are knowledgeable about all the products and who want each customer to have an incredible time every time they walk through the doors. From fashion brands such as Vineyard Vines, Peter Millar and Johnnie-O, to environmentally conscious brands such as Patagonia, United By Blue and Toad&Co, Global Pursuit aims to offer a wide selection of clothing, and accessories for its customers. The new Stone Harbor location is offering brands new to the island such as Outerknown Women’s, the Kelly Slater brand offering sustainable, fashionable women’s clothing. The Spot is proud to be one of the few in the County to carry the brand.
